Cytotoxicity of amorphous calcium phosphate multifunctional composite coatings on titanium obtained by in situ anodization/anaphoretic deposition

چکیده

The cytotoxicity of amorphous calcium phosphate (ACP) and chitosan lactate (ChOL) multifunctional hybrid composite coatings on MRC-5 human lung fibroblast cell line was elucidated. ACP/TiO2 ACP/TiO2/ /ChOL were deposited onto Ti by a novel in situ anodization/anaphoretic process at constant voltage. Cytotoxicity tests showed that there no significant decrease the survival healthy cells exposed to samples without lactate, while an increase number viable sample containing ChOL. These findings show improved proliferation, differentiation viability ChOL-containing sample, which makes ACP/TiO2/ChOL coating good candidate for applications medicine stomatology.

Modification of calcium-phosphate coatings on titanium by recombinant amelogenin.

Amelogenin proteins, the principal components of the developing dental enamel extracellular matrix, have been postulated to facilitate the elongated and oriented growth of the carbonated apatite crystals during enamel formation. We previously reported that amelogenin caused modulation of apatite crystals nucleated on a bioactive glass (Bioglass(R)) in vitro. Here, the effects of amelogenin on t...

Role of Amorphous Calcium Phosphate in Dentistry

Objective: Amorphous calcium phosphate (ACP) is a reactive solution capable of releasing calcium and phosphate ions, conversion to apatite and remineralization of mineral tooth structure. This study reviews ACP structure, its properties and its applications in dentistry.   Methods: In this review study, keywords including “amorphous calcium phosphate”, “mineralization”, “hydroxyapatite”, “cas...

In Situ Potentiostatic Deposition of Calcium Phosphate with Gentamicin-Loaded Chitosan Nanoparticles on Titanium Alloy Surfaces

Bone implants must be biocompatible and are usually built to promote osseointegration, e.g. by application of plasma spray calcium phosphate (CaP) coating. The risk of infection and biofilm formation on implant surfaces is a well-known problem. The combination of electrochemically deposited CaP coating with antibiotics may offer significant benefits. Here, we demonstrate an innovative in situ e...

Novel Bioactive Antimicrobial Lignin Containing Coatings on Titanium Obtained by Electrophoretic Deposition

Hydroxyapatite (HAP) is the most suitable biocompatible material for bone implant coatings; its brittleness, however, is a major obstacle, and the reason why research focuses on creating composites with biopolymers. Organosolv lignin (Lig) is used for the production of composite coatings, and these composites were examined in this study. Titanium substrate is a key biomedical material due to it...

Characterisation of calcium phosphate/titanium dioxide hybrid coatings.

The role of titanium dioxide (TiO2) as a means to engender enhanced stability into calcium phosphate (Ca-P) coatings has been well recognised. Several different methods have been used to create such Ca-P/TiO2 hybrid layers on a range of substrates. This paper reports the properties of a Ca-P/TiO2 system created by the sputter deposition of hydroxyapatite onto a titanium surface and the subseque...
